MAY NEWS!

Just a quick post to let you know what is going on at the Memorial Hall this month.

We started May with a party! Great Wilbraham Primary School Choir joined Wilbrahams' Community Choir in celebration of 10 years of our 'new' Memorial Hall on Sunday 3rd May. It was a great joint effort and also involved audience participation during 'What Shall We Do With The Drunken Sailor', pictured above. Tony Goryn, our President, gave an amusing and enlightening speech taking the long view of the history of our hall. Ian Cumming presented an amazing 10th birthday cake and the tables were groaning with ever more cakes - thanks to a brilliant team of bakers, servers and clearer uppers. We were blessed with good weather and the bouncy castle was popular with the kids all afternoon. Thanks to everyone who came and to the many who helped. Here's to another 10 years!

Our next event is the monthly Farmer's Market on Saturday 9th May 9.30-11.30am. We have 26 great stalls booked in and fresh coffee and teas will be available from the Social Club.

The 100 Club draw will take place on Monday 11th May. Many thanks for entering again this year.

Don't forget there are now weekly Pilates classes on Monday mornings. Please contact Frances if you are interested in joining.

We held our Annual General Meeting on the 27th April. This is a chance for the community to hear a review of the year and ask questions / make suggestions/ join the Committee. If you would like to read the Chair's report which gives an insight to the running of the hall / financial position / plans for the future, you can download it here :
