The 'Wellbrahams' The Well-brahams is a group of villagers who attended the Mental Health First Aid course and wanted to improve knowledge about mental health problems and well-being generally. This was over 10 years ago. Since then awareness of mental ill health and well-being has increased and we have enlarged our activities. We continue to provide informal support to individuals experiencing mental ill health and their families. We also have a website with information and resources people can use if experiencing mental health issues or just for general information. Our regular activities are running a monthly Welcome Morning in the village hall, anyone can attend, we encourage all age groups and provide refreshments and games, everyone is welcome. In the last week of the summer holidays we put on three days of sports and creative mindfulness for village children ages 5 to 11 run by qualified coaches. We continue to organise other activities and lectures, often at the request of villagers. Our guiding principle is that all events are free to ensure accessibility for all.
